The Intro

Only just bought my Nokia 6100 mobile phone 3 days ago and already I am disappointed.

The Good

It does look very stylish, is light and around the same size as the 6510 only slimmer. The Nokia 6100 screen resolution is reasonable but the brightness is way out on every setting.

However a friend has the Nokia 7250 and the ringtones on my phone are far louder so you can actually hear the phone ringing even with complex polyphonic tones!

The Bad

The camera is not built into the phone and although it is small to plug in the cable is cumbersome, so not very practical.

This means that you don't take many pictures which is probably a good thing as the 6100 phone has a puny 500k memory for JAVA games, polyphonic tones, and images! I took 10 pictures in high resolution mode (low is awful) and I filled the memory with no new JAVA games and only 3 new polyphonic tones each around 12k in size!

The internet WAP facility seems up to the job but a little slow for my taste.

Overall Rating

The Nokia 6100 is a good mobile phone but see it as a phone and not a new way of communicating or being individual because this phone is not as good as the 7250 or 7250e.

The Sony Ericsson T610 is also better so think before you buy, I didn't!
